Mise à jour: un abri pour les chats doit fermer à Montréal-Nord.
Certaines personnes qui doivent se défaire de leurs chats les abandonnent carrément à eux-mêmes. Ces chats errants se multiplient rapidement. Mais saviez-vous qu’il existe un organisme communautaire aidant les gens qui adoptent ces chats abandonnés?
Des bénévoles de l’organisme Chatocat vont à votre domicile, prennent la photo du chat que vous avez trouvez pour l’afficher sur leur site Internet. Rapidement, ils vont lui trouvent une famille d’accueil qui en prendra soin. De plus, pour ceux qui veulent adopter le chat, ils vous offrent les vaccinations et l’opération à un prix préférentiel. Tout cela pour encourager et soutenir les familles d’accueil qui veulent s’impliquer.
Cet organisme opère dans plusieurs pays à travers le monde. Leur objectif est de ne pas euthanasier les chats en garantissant de trouver une famille d’accueil. Un reportage paraîtra dans le magazine Reflet de Société d’octobre prochain.

I am amazed by the decition of the Montreal fire department to close the cat shelter with those inocent animals in North Montreal…And Mr Alain Toleau, the fire department chief, justifies the unhuman and b rutal attitude od his department!!!!!!!!!! Is he crazy or what???????

I just find the information on CTV. There’s not a lot of information on the web to find it.
The name of the fire department chief who close the no kills shelter is Alain Rouleau. The name of the cat shelter is Humanauxchat.
Like you I am very amazed about closing the shelter with only 24 hours of advise!

I was STONISHED, to say the least to see the declaration of Mr Alain Roleau today in the six oclock CTV news montreal, regarding the order to close the cat shelter of Montreal North that host three hundred!!!!!!! poor animals that have no voice to claim for their life!!!!!!!!! This is being HUMAN??????? or being a blood thursty person????????????????? Please have him condider his decition and do what is right to do and not an arbitrary measure puting 300 livesssss in danger to perish@ Habe him be a HUMANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! Not a KILLERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
